Biography:
Dr Nikhilkumar Shah is a Lecturer in Energy and Building Services at Centre for Sustainable Technologies in School of the Built Environment. Dr Shah holds B.Eng (Mechanical) from Gujarat University, India and M.Sc. (Energy System) from FH-Aachen, Germany.
He received PhD from Ulster University in 2015. He has ten years of research experience in the energy field. His research interest includes heat pump, thermal and electrical energy storage, energy efficiency, waste heat recovery, engine testing, demand side management and biofuels.
Dr Shah is an active participant of IEA Annexes on Industrial and domestic hot water heat pump. Dr Shah has secured research collaboration funding for "Diesel engine emission and performance testing with biofuel with Nano-particles" with IIT Guwahati, India as a co-applicant from UKIERI. He has also worked in the field of engine testing, fuel cell material and solar thermal system in the past.
